Who Am I?

My name is Gabriela Thorne, but I prefer going by Gabi. I’m a twenty-something multimedia storyteller whose wig collection grows every day. In 2018, I graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies and a minor in Women’s Studies and Spanish. From March 2019 to November 2023, I worked for Allure as an Editorial Assistant and then Associate News Editor where I got to explore beauty from a culture and entertainment lens.

When I’m not writing, I’m probably looking at a cooking/baking recipe on TikTok, scrolling endlessly on Twitter, or checking out a new podcast. For the next chapter of my career, I hope to dive deeper into culture writing and copywriting.
